On the last Thursday of term 2, we had our school art auction.
Team Maunga Iti was busy all of term 2 working on our pieces of art for the auction. Here is the artwork they produced.
The first piece was a pencil sketch of what the children liked doing with their families.
The second piece was learning how to sketch flowers. They learnt how to use chalk pastel. This was a little tricky but everyone was able to draw a flower using chalk pastel colours as well as creating a background using cold colours.
The last piece they made was a Matariki mobile using clay and then painting these using metallic colours.
